Believe Nothing

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

What Buddha meant is that, the ultimate belief is self-belief.  If you don't believe yourself, you can't really believe any God of your choice.  All Buddha taught is benevolence. There is no absolute truth but absolute love. Buddhism is not about believe, it is about love.
